Ø Alternating Sandbag Over Shoulder (Strength/Power)
*Complete 3-5 rounds one time per week
Different types of workouts serve different purposes … and today I did a metabolic conditioning aka ‘Unique Functional Conditioning’ aka Hurricane Circuits to keep my metabolism firing strong and give me that high-calorie burn for HOURS after I’m done.
⭐ But the truth is, it helps with so much more than my metabolism.
Training like this, like when you can just “let loose and get after it!” helps improve EVERYTHING in my life – my mood, which in turn allows me to focus, get better sleep, increases my energy, and makes you feel like a total bad-ass!
We all know that some days it’s easier to get in your workout than others ... but I have NEVER regretted a workout I did – and I definitely have regretted missing a few.
While it’s true that your genetics play a role in how fast your body burns calories – and that your metabolism naturally slows as you age – there are absolutely things you can do to help keep it firing.
Strength training increases muscle mass and Increasing lean muscle mass is one of the most powerful ways to naturally burn more fuel every day!
Muscle is metabolically active, which means that people with lean, muscular bodies need more energy to function than people with a higher % of body fat.
